About this opportunity

We are seeking a knowledgeable, practical and enthusiastic JavaScript Tutor to provide hands-on training and mentorship to learners interested in building modern web applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching JavaScript from foundational concepts through practical application, helping learners understand how to write clean, functional and efficient code while working on real-world projects. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging and practical JavaScript lessons to learners at different skill levels. • Teach core JavaScript concepts including variables, functions, arrays, objects, loops, DOM manipulation, events, asynchronous programming, APIs and modern ES6+ features. • Guide learners through practical exercises, assignments and real-world development projects. • Assist students in debugging code and developing strong problem-solving skills. • Monitor learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback and mentorship. • Prepare relevant lesson materials, exercises and project tasks. • Encourage good coding practices, documentation and the use of version-control tools such as Git and GitHub. • Support learners in developing portfolio-ready projects. Requirements: • Strong practical knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development. • Good understanding of HTML and CSS. • Experience working with APIs and frontend development tools. • Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner. • Strong communication, patience and mentoring skills. • Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience will be an advantage. • Familiarity with React or another modern JavaScript framework will also be an advantage. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The successful applicant should be available for both physical and online sessions when required. Qualified young professionals with strong JavaScript skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring others are encouraged to apply. Compensation: ₦100,000 per month.
